The Math-U-See Curriculum

The Math-U-See curriculum is skills based and, in the elementary years, uses Greek letters instead of traditional grade levels to title their textbooks. This allows students to build strength where needed and progress without pressure.

Additionally, the scope and sequence of each Math-U-See level often spans more than a single traditional grade.

However, in general, Math-U-See levels could correspond to the following:

  • Primer: Kindergarten
  • Alpha: 1st Grade
  • Beta: 2nd Grade
  • Gamma: 3rd Grade
  • Delta: 4th Grade
  • Epsilon: 5th Grade
  • Zeta: 6th Grade

After Zeta, Math-U-See is presented in a more traditional titles and include:

  • Pre-Algebra
  • Algebra 1
  • Geometry
  • Algebra 2
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Calculus
