What are the username parameters?

All usernames require the following parameters:

Be unique in our system (There can only be one "bestmom" username.)
Include only lower case letters (if it includes letters)
Contain at least two characters
Be absent of any special characters except the hyphen (-) and the underscore ( _ )

Acceptable Examples:

dorothy_oz
class-of-88
smartypants

Unacceptable Examples:

IronMan4
ilovemath!
showmethe$
