START HERE: How to get your student set up and working on their first lesson

If you are new to Nicole the Math Lady, here's how to get your student up and running quickly.


1.You choose your student’s course.

First, decide which curriculum is the best fit for your student.

Then, pick the textbook level. 

  • If you are unsure about the level, you can read about our free placement tests here: PLACEMENT TESTS


Now you're ready to assign the course.


2.You assign the course to your student.

Log in to your Parent Dashboard here: PARENT LOG IN

Click Course Settings on your student’s card.

Select the Textbook.

Select the Edition.

Choose the Starting Lesson.

Click Save.


Now that your student can get to work!


3.Your student logs in.

Your student logs in here: STUDENT LOG IN

  • If you are unsure of your student's username or password, you can find that information here: STUDENT INFO

Your student is now in their Student Dashboard! 

Your student can enter their course by clicking on the image of their textbook


Your student is now inside their course!


4.Your student watches a teaching video.

Your student opens the lesson and watches the first teaching video.


Now your student is ready to complete the first assignment!


5.Your student completes an assignment. 

Click on the assignment to open it in Online Grading.

Find the assignment in the textbook

Complete the first problem in the textbook or on paper. 

Check the answer by entering it into Online Grading.

    -If it's not correct, try to find and fix the mistake and enter the answer again.

Repeat C & D until all of the problems have been completed.

Click Submit for Grading.


Now you can see how your student did!


6.You can see how your student did.

You should receive a report of your student's assignment in your email. 

You can also monitor your student’s work from your Parent Dashboard.
